Google connections in FieldWell

A Well Platform product for home-service businesses

FieldWell lets an authorized business owner connect their own Google Ads account and Google Business Profile from Settings > Lead sources. Each connection uses Google OAuth, shows the permissions being requested, and returns the owner to FieldWell to choose the account or business location they want to use. FieldWell never asks an owner to share their Google password.

Google Ads

FieldWell requests https://www.googleapis.com/auth/adwords so the owner can list and select an advertiser account, verify that the selected account is reachable, and find or create one enabled conversion action named FieldWell booked job. FieldWell uses that conversion action to report booked-job outcomes and the accepted quote value when one is available.

FieldWell also requests https://www.googleapis.com/auth/datamanager to submit consented, first-party conversion events to the customer-selected Google Ads destination and to check their delivery status. FieldWell does not create or edit campaigns, ads, audiences, keywords, budgets, or bidding settings.

Google Business Profile

FieldWell requests https://www.googleapis.com/auth/business.manage, the scope Google provides for Business Profile access. It lists the profiles and locations the owner manages, verifies the selected location, and stores Google's review link so the business can send review-request journeys to eligible customers. FieldWell does not edit the listing, publish posts, create reviews, or reply to reviews through this connection.

Google Ads lead forms use a separate connection

Google OAuth is not used to receive Google Ads lead-form submissions. FieldWell provides each business with a tenant-specific webhook URL and verification key in Settings > Lead sources. The owner places those values on the lead-form asset in Google Ads, and Google sends submitted lead data directly to that protected endpoint.

The owner stays in control.Only a FieldWell account owner can start, configure, reconnect, or disconnect these Google connections. Disconnecting clears FieldWell's stored refresh token and stops future Google API access. The owner can also revoke access from their Google Account permissions.

Security and data handling

  • Refresh tokens are encrypted before storage and bound to the FieldWell business that authorized them.
  • Access tokens and OAuth client secrets remain server-side and are never exposed to the browser.
  • Each selected Google account, location, webhook, and conversion delivery is isolated by business.
  • FieldWell retains only the connection records and operational evidence needed to provide and audit the feature.

Policies and deletion

Read the Well Platform Privacy Policy, Terms of Service, and data-deletion instructions. Product-specific details are also available in the FieldWell Privacy Policy and FieldWell Terms of Service.

FieldWell's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
